Senior DevOps Engineer

Project description

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer / Senior Platform Engineer with strong hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes-based platforms, CI/CD automation, and modern deployment tooling. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience within DevOps, with proven expertise in designing, maintaining, and optimising scalable infrastructure and delivery pipelines. This role requires a senior-level engineer who can work independently, support complex production environments, and collaborate effectively with engineering, architecture, security, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain, and optimise cloud-native DevOps platforms and deployment workflows. Manage and support Kubernetes-based environments, particularly on AWS EKS. Implement and maintain GitOps-based deployment processes using ArgoCD. Work with service mesh technologies such as Istio to support secure and reliable service-to-service communication. Develop, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitLab / GitLab Pipelines. Support Java-based application build and deployment processes using Maven and Spring Boot tooling. Manage AWS infrastructure components Troubleshoot and improve platform reliability, deployment performance, network connectivity, and application delivery processes. Apply strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, routing, load balancing, and traffic management. Perform Linux administration, scripting, automation, and operational support activities. Drive CI/CD optimisation, pipeline orchestration, and automation improvements. Collaborate with development, QA, architecture, and security teams to ensure efficient and secure software delivery. Promote best practices around containerisation, infrastructure automation, observability, and DevSecOps.
