Senior DevOps Engineer

Project description

Modernization project of core business systems for a large US financial institution. The activities include the support applications running in Kubernetes, decoupling monolith application to smaller services and migration to modern technology stack.

Responsibilities

• o Develop new OpenShift platform for containerized applications o Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to maintain the development and release activities o Perform automation of routine operations throughout the entire SDLC o Support development, QA, and external teams in scope of infrastructure o Manage Azure infrastructure using IaC tools o Perform troubleshooting activities over the applications and underlying infrastructure

SKILLS

Must have

• o Must have - Production experience with Kubernetes o Must have - Azure certified o 5+ years of hands-on production experience with Azure services: AKS, APIM, App Services, Azure Cache for Redis, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks. Experience with administering Microsoft Entra ID o Fluent knowledge of Kubernetes/Openshift o Solid Cloud knowledge - compute resources (VM, VMSS), networking o Monitoring/Logging - Azure Monitor, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, o Working with Docker containers (Prepare, Build, Run) o Scripting languages (Bash/Python) - ability to write scripts for operations automation o Ability to work independently with a strong problem-solving mindset o English - Upper-intermediate (verbal and written communication)

Nice to have

o Azure Stack HCI o Experience working with Java-based applications
