Senior DevOps Engineer to design and build a production-ready platform from the ground up in Barcelona. You will own the entire delivery platform, enabling self-serve deployments and robust recovery. You’ll shape security, backups, and observability while ensuring the team can ship reliably without on-call Pager duties. This AI-native role sits at the heart of a new engineering group and offers a long-term opportunity to define how products run in production.

- Build the platform from code: hosts, networking, ingress, access, environments, parameterised and reviewable
- Enable self-serve deployments with minimal platform credentials
- Design and implement a real secrets manager and brokered credentials for AI agents
- Demonstrate recoverability with tested backups and restore procedures
- Define release paths with automated gates, per-branch previews, and rehearsed rollbacks
- Maintain observability, cost controls, dependency hygiene, and boring, repeatable operations
- Own infrastructure decisions and impose a scalable, reproducible baseline across products
- Lead when there is no on-call culture, ensuring reliability without pager impact
- Document everything and ensure environments are reproducible from repositories
- Collaborate with product teams to align platform capabilities with business needs
- Senior DevOps experience building platforms from scratch
- Infrastructure as code as a core discipline
- Experience with backups and proven restore procedures
- Experience running Kubernetes in production (and the ability to say when it is not the right choice)
- Strong automation and deployment pipeline capabilities
- On-site capability in Barcelona (or willingness to relocate)
- Fluent English; Spanish useful; Catalan not required
- Experience with AI agents and agentic engineering is a plus
