Who You Are
You are a Senior DevOps Engineer who serves as the front line for triage and operational support across infrastructure teams, keeping foundational systems running smoothly. You are hands-on and service-oriented, comfortable owning a request and ticket queue, triaging by urgency and impact, resolving routine items directly, and escalating the rest with clear context. You bring strong troubleshooting instincts and sound judgment on when to resolve versus escalation, and you are motivated to reduce operational toil through automation and improved self-service.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the first point of contact for other infrastructure teams, owning the incoming request and ticket queue: answer questions, unblock teams on Infra Foundations tooling and workflows, triage by urgency and impact, resolve routine items directly, and escalatE the rest with clear context
- Handle routine KTLO (keep-the-lights-on) activities: human IAM access and role requests (following Security's least-privilege guardrails), AWS quota increase requests, SFTP access grants for partners and merchants, and standard IaC changes through the existing GitHub and Spacelift workflows
- Troubleshoot core networking issues (VPC connectivity, routing, DNS, and interconnectivity between accounts and services), escalating deeper faults with clear diagnostics
- Execute recurring operational tasks such as AMI patching cycles and configuration management runs (Ansible), following established runbooks
- Reduce toil on common, recurring requests by extending the team's triage engine with AI skills and by improving self-service through updated runbooks, documentation, and FAQs
What You Bring
- 5 years of infrastructure, DevOps, or systems engineering experience in a cloud environment
- Advanced English (B2/C1) is mandatory, with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Hands-on experience with AWS fundamentals (accounts, IAM, VPC networking, EC2)
- Working familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Spacelift, or equivalent) and Git-based workflows
- Comfortable operating a request or ticket queue and communicating clearly with engineers across teams
- Strong troubleshooting instincts and good judgment on when to resolve versus elevate
- A service-oriented mindset and genuine interest in unblocking others and reducing operational toil
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with configuration management (Ansible or similar) and standard incident response practices
