Senior DevOps Engineer
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design and implement robust engineering processes and platforms. This position requires a comprehensive understanding that DevOps extends beyond tooling to encompass effective collaboration among teams. The ideal candidate will be a critical link between development – infrastructure – security; architecting scalable, secure and repeatable solutions that enable rapid software delivery while maintaining high standard standards.
The role operates at a system-wide level: establishing best practices, shaping the software development lifecycle (SDLC), integrating security into pipelines, developing platforms that empower teams to work efficiently and safely. While hands-on technical involvement is required - the primary contribution of this role lies in architectural leadership, strategic decision-making and process optimization.

- Process & Platform Design
- Design and evolve end-to-end SDLC with built-in security, compliance and operational controls.
- Define where governance is mandatory and where it can be safely automated or delegated.
- Establish clear responsibility boundaries (RACI) between Dev, Ops, Security teams.
- Translate business and risk requirements into technical guardrails, not manual gates.
- Collaboration & Mentorship
- Act as a technical partner to development teams.
- Coach engineers on reliability, deployment safety and operational ownership.
- Facilitate cross-team discussions, turning conflicts into process improvements.
- Document architectural decisions, trade-offs and constraints in clear language.
- CI/CD & Automation
- Architect and maintain CI/CD platforms that enable fast, reliable and low-risk deployments.
- Standardize pipelines and environments while allowing controlled flexibility for teams.
- Reduce manual work and operational toil through automation.
- Infrastructure & Cloud Architecture
- Own Infrastructure as Code as a single source of truth (Terraform).
- Design cloud architectures in Azure and AWS with focus on reliability, scalability and cost awareness.
- Ensure environment parity across dev, staging, and production.
- Support containerized and Kubernetes-based platforms.
- Reliability & Observability
- Define and implement SLIs, SLOs and error budgets as a shared language between teams.
- Build observability (monitoring, logging, tracing) as a trust mechanism
- Lead incident response practices, including postmortems and systemic improvements.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure roles.
- Proven experience designing processes.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure, including Azure DevOps.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD architecture.
- Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Experience with containers and Kubernetes in production environments.
- Proficiency in automation/scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
- Experience with monitoring, logging and incident management practices.
- Ability to explain complex technical and security topics in simple non-confrontational language.
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-heavy environments (Life Sciences, Finance, etc.).
- Experience introducing or evolving DevOps/SRE practices in organizations with existing silos.
- Cloud or DevOps certifications.
- Experience with microservices architectures and API-based systems.
- Understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
- Previous mentoring or informal technical leadership experience.
- English: B2 level or higher.
