Senior devops engineer
PBT Group is looking for an experienced Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join a collaborative technology team delivering enterprise-grade cloud solutions and modern software delivery practices.
This is a 12-month contract opportunity based in Cape Town, with a hybrid working model requiring 3 days per week in-office.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience across AWS, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and automation, with a proven ability to design, implement and optimise secure, scalable cloud environments.
Key Requirements: Strong senior-level Dev Ops / Cloud Engineering experience Extensive hands-on AWS experience Strong CI/CD experience using Azure Dev Ops and/or Git Hub Actions Terraform / Infrastructure as Code Docker & Kubernetes Strong Linux and scripting experience – Bash, Python or Power Shell AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS/EKS, IAM and Cloud Watch Experience with monitoring, logging, troubleshooting and production support Strong understanding of Dev Sec Ops, automation and cloud security Experience working in Agile environments Ability to work closely with Developers, Architects and Infrastructure teams Advantageous: AWS certification, Helm, Ansible, Prometheus/Grafana, Sonar Qube and experience within microservices environments.
