Senior DevOps engineer on a professional-services team at a B2B enterprise SaaS/cloud-infrastructure vendor: designs and builds CI/CD pipelines and DevOps platforms for customers using Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, binary repositories, and AWS/Azure/GCP, plus training and customer support. Senior DevOps Engineer – Professional Services
Location: Atlanta, GA | Hybrid remote – in the office 3 days per week | Also open to remote (ET)
Employees: 2,000+ | Industry: B2B Enterprise Software (SaaS), DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS) | Travel: 10% - 20%
Responsibilities
- Work with customers to design, set up, and build CI/CD pipelines and DevOps platforms using the company’s products and technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, IaC, and Cloud Native
- Team up with Sales, Customer Success, Support, and Development, and work directly with developers and DevOps professionals to ensure customer success
- Set up, design, and build CI pipelines with Docker, NPM, Java, PyPI, etc. (binary repositories, distribution to devices, and continuous build tooling)
- Train open-source community members and customers on products
- Influence product features and roadmap based on customer needs
- Keep current with the latest DevOps and CI/CD technology trends
- Build strong, lasting relationships with customers and the community
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps and CI/CD: CI server, Git, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, NPM, and binary repository management
- Ability to build software delivery pipelines with Docker, npm, Java, PyPI - using tools such as Git, binary repository management, binary scanning, and CI
- Good understanding of infrastructure and operations: storage, network, compute, security, and cloud (public and on-prem)
- Experience with continuous deployment and delivery tools: Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Kubernetes
- Hands-on Linux experience
- Hands-on cloud infrastructure experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Customer-facing experience, with strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Software architecture design and product development experience a plus
