Senior DevOps Engineer (Python)

Salary: £33,000 - 73,000 per year

• We require 5+ years working as a DevOps Engineer.
• We require strong knowledge of AWS, CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
• We require experience with Terraform (infrastructure as code), Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Knowledge of Java (Spring) is beneficial.
• We require experience with multiple ecosystem databases, architecture, and integration.
• We require experience with monitoring tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
• We require experience with schema change management, such as Liquibase.
• We require the ability to write automation scripts in Python.
• We require knowledge of GitOps principles.
• Experience working within the public sector/central government is beneficial.
• We require a willingness to travel.
• We require the right to work in the UK.
• We require the ability to attain a UK Security Clearance.

• We are responsible for implementing and supporting improvements, efficiency, enhancing software quality, and accelerating delivery times.
• We share responsibility between development and operations with a focus on people, process, and tools and a unified customer/user focus.
• We work in a multi-disciplinary team with Development, QA, IT Operations, InfoSec, and UCD to apply best practice in DevOps.
• We use extensive DevOps tooling, containers, and containerisation.
• We communicate with stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical implementation.
• We act as a business SME and understand business needs to support an efficient DevOps team.
• We negotiate and influence stakeholders to ensure the service runs effectively and efforts are placed correctly.
