About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing software development company, is looking for a seasoned Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join their dynamic team in Tembisa, Gauteng, ZA. This role is crucial for building and maintaining scalable, reliable, and efficient infrastructure that supports the company's cutting-edge software products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud platforms, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (Ia C) using tools like Terraform or Ansible. Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability. Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline the software development lifecycle. Implement and manage security best practices within the infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Automate operational tasks and continuously seek ways to improve efficiency and reliability. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. A minimum of 6 years of experience in Dev Ops, SRE, or a related infrastructure engineering role. Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their core services. Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools. Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Azure Dev Ops). Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and monitoring tools. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
