Senior Devops Engineer
Summary
A Senior DevOps Engineer leads cloud migrations (ECS Fargate → EKS), modernizes IaC with Terraform/OpenTofu, and scales high-throughput data infrastructure (ClickHouse, ScyllaDB, etc.) while optimizing CI/CD, observability, and FinOps in a mission-critical AWS environment.
We are a highly profitable, 100% bootstrapped technology company that builds mission-critical data infrastructure on a massive scale. Our data pipelines power the platforms of industry leaders across more than 20 countries, playing a direct role in public safety, cybersecurity, and digital risk protection. We don't just build dashboards or chase tech trends; we engineer production-grade data flows that help uncover fraud, prevent digital manipulation, and protect organizations from bad actors.
As part of our rapid R&D expansion, we are establishing our Kraków office as a core engineering hub. We are looking for engineers who value ownership, discipline, and long-term thinking to help us drive our next phase of growth.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our elite infrastructure team. Reporting to the DevOps Team Lead, you will act as a core technical partner to engineering leadership. You will own advanced infrastructure initiatives from the initial whiteboard design all the way through production hardening.
Your immediate challenge? Managing and scaling our high-volume, multi-account AWS environment while solving complex delivery and operational puzzles.
What You’ll Do
-
Lead Cloud Migrations: Architect and execute a seamless, zero-downtime migration from ECS Fargate to Kubernetes (EKS) while safeguarding our existing cloud architecture.
-
Modernize Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design and roll out modular, modern IaC frameworks using Terraform and OpenTofu to guarantee reliable, multi-environment deployments.
-
Elevate CI/CD: Transform our delivery pipelines (GitHub Actions, OIDC federation) to handle massive scale, minimize developer friction, and ensure zero-risk deployments.
-
Scale Big Data Infrastructure: Take ownership of the performance and resilience of our high-throughput data layer, which includes ClickHouse, ScyllaDB, DynamoDB, RDS, Redis, and event-driven messaging systems.
-
Champion Observability: Establish unshakeable reliability standards across the organization using modern telemetry tools (OpenTelemetry, Coralogix, Grafana) so that on-call alerts are driven by real signals, not noise.
-
Optimize & Secure: Make smart, high-impact technical trade-offs that balance development velocity, zero-trust security (Tailscale), and FinOps cost-efficiency.
What You Bring
-
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure, specifically within high-throughput, data-heavy production environments.
-
Cloud Mastery: Deep architectural knowledge of AWS (compute, networking, VPC, DNS, IAM, and advanced scalability patterns).
-
Kubernetes Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience designing, running, and optimizing EKS clusters at a true production scale under heavy loads.
-
IaC & Coding: Expert-level Terraform proficiency, alongside solid coding/scripting skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript (and Bash).
-
Containers & Delivery: Extensive experience with containerized workloads (Docker/ECS) and modern CI/CD systems, with a strong grasp of safe deployment strategies.
-
Observability: A track record of building and managing comprehensive alerting and observability stacks (metrics, logs, traces, SLOs).
-
Mindset: You are a pragmatic, clear communicator who thrives in an autonomous environment and earns trust through excellent technical judgment.
Bonus Points If You Have:
-
Successfully led a production ECS-to-Kubernetes migration.
-
Deep familiarity with the EKS ecosystem (Karpenter, ArgoCD/Flux, KEDA, VPC CNI).
-
Real-world experience operating wide-column or analytical databases (ScyllaDB, ClickHouse) at scale.
