Senior DevOps Engineer
Summary
A Senior DevOps Engineer builds and maintains cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and observability on Microsoft Azure — orchestrating containers with Docker/Kubernetes (AKS), automating with Terraform and Ansible, and monitoring with the Grafana stack and OpenTelemetry. Hybrid role based in Amsterdam, initially a one-year contract.
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and automating various aspects of software delivery. In the project, you will be responsible for:
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (using GitLab or similar platforms)
Manage and orchestrate containers with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS)
Implement and support centralized logging and monitoring using the Grafana stack (Prometheus, Loki, Grafana) and OpenTelemetry
Instrument and collect metrics, logs, and traces for full-stack observability into system health and performance
Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration using Terraform and Ansible
Develop and maintain scripts and tooling using Bash and Python
Secure configuration management and integrate with external authentication systems
Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure system resilience and scalability
Administer and support Linux and Windows Server environments
Operate within cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure
Who are we looking for?
7+ years of experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes (preferably AKS) and containerization with Docker
Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services
Experience in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform
Configuration management with Ansible
Proficiency in scripting languages: Bash, Python
Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD or other pipeline automation tools
Good grasp of version control systems, especially Git
Hands‑on experience with observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Loki, Grafana) for centralized logging and monitoring
Background in Linux/Windows system administration
A team player
Fluent command of English with effective business communication skills (at least B2/C1)
