Senior DevOps/IAC Engineer
Summary
Senior engineer at GMV in Tres Cantos, Spain who designs, builds and maintains infrastructure-as-code for automated, reproducible deployments across multi-cloud, hybrid and on-prem environments, leads architecture decisions and client-facing guidance. Core stack: Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes and IaC testing tools.
In this role you guide the design, development and ongoing maintenance of the project’s IaC, delivering automated, reproducible deployments. You will engage with clients to align architecture with functional, security and performance requirements. You lead architectural decisions, drive standardized IaC components, and ensure DevOps practices are integrated across the delivery lifecycle. This position offers exposure to multi-cloud and hybrid environments and a chance to shape scalable infrastructure solutions within a collaborative team.

- Design and implement the IaC architecture across multi-cloud, hybrid, or on-prem environments
- Automate the entire infrastructure lifecycle from provisioning to maintenance
- Promote DevOps practices: CI/CD, quality controls, automated testing, GitOps and security integration
- Standardize, modularize and promote reuse of robust IaC components
- Coordinate with development, operations, cybersecurity and networking teams to ensure seamless delivery
- Engage with clients in meetings to provide expert guidance on architecture and operations
- Expert-level Terraform (HCL) experience: modules, workspaces, state management, state security, CI/CD integration
- Strong Ansible background: roles, playbooks, dynamic inventories, collections, orchestration, performance optimization
- Experience designing reproducible, immutable, modular infrastructures
- CI/CD pipelines experience (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
- IaC testing tools (terratest, checkov, tflint, ansible-lint)
- Artifact management, semantic versioning and repository practices
- Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Cloud experience with at least one major provider
