What you’ll do
- Design, implement, and manage OpenShift clusters to support our application deployment and operational needs.
- Automate deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines to enhance the efficiency of software delivery.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure that applications are optimized for performance and scalability within the OpenShift environment.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability of services.
- Implement security best practices across the infrastructure to safeguard sensitive data and applications.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to improve the overall efficiency of the infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to system architecture, processes, and procedures.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
- Engage in capacity planning and resource management to ensure optimal use of cloud resources.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our DevOps practices.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems as needed.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps or a related field, with a strong focus on OpenShift and container technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby for automation tasks.
- Extensive experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts and security protocols relevant to cloud environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
