Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer

You will work within a dedicated elite team managing and building a cloud-native DevOps platform that drives analytics, insights, and AI-driven features for Akamai Guardicore Segmentation. By building highly reliable and cost-effective infrastructure solutions, you will help process extensive security data, empowering our customers to understand their environments, minimize risks, and prevent threat proliferation.

Partner with the best

As a key member of our team, you will partner with Site Reliability Engineers, Data Scientists, and Security Engineers to build modern solutions to global security challenges.

You will be responsible for:

• Platform Design: Designing, operating, and scaling highly available, secure Kubernetes platforms
• GitOps: Building and improving GitOps-based deployment processes using Argo CD, Helm, and related technologies
• Infrastructure as Code: Developing reusable cloud infrastructure and automation frameworks utilizing Terraform
• Developer Experience: Enhancing CI/CD pipelines, developer workflows, and self-service platform capabilities
• System Optimization: Improving overall platform reliability, observability, security, performance, and cost efficiency
• Production Leadership: Leading complex production investigations and driving long-term architectural improvements

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Demonstrate expertise in DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or cloud infrastructure with proven ability to optimize and manage systems effectively.
• Demonstrate extensive production expertise with Kubernetes
• Have experience with GitOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Have experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Have scripting or programming experience using Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages
• Demonstrate technical leadership, ownership, and the ability to drive cross-team initiatives
