Senior DevOps & Python Platform Engineering Specialist Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior DevOps & Python Platform Engineering Specialist to design, build, and operate highly available enterprise content management platforms supporting Application Enterprise Content Management (AECM) and End User Content Management (EUCM) use cases.

The role will support platforms including Alfresco, SharePoint Embedded, Box, Google Workspace, and related services, with a strong focus on Python development, automation, platform engineering, reliability, and enterprise infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development & Engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable content management solutions, integrations, and automation using Python.
• Lead technical design discussions and develop architecture documentation.
• Build and enhance platform tooling, libraries, and automation.
• Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Mentor and guide other engineers.

Platform & Infrastructure

• Deploy, configure, and operate Alfresco ECM platforms.
• Evaluate SharePoint Embedded and Snowflake for content management use cases.
• Collaborate with vendor engineering and support teams.
• Maintain architecture documentation, standards, release notes, and runbooks.
• Troubleshoot issues across web, application, database, networking, and authentication layers.

Operations & Support

• Participate in an engineering on-call rotation.
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical and customer issues.
• Communicate status, root-cause analysis, and resolution plans to stakeholders.
• Analyze incidents and trends to drive platform improvements.
• Continuously improve platform reliability, scalability, performance, and security.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering, application development, or DevOps experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
• Working knowledge of Java.
• 3+ years supporting Linux and/or Windows environments.
• Strong SQL and Microsoft SQL Server experience.
• Strong networking fundamentals and load-balancing experience.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems.
• Strong experience with SDLC, DevOps, Git, and CI/CD practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GenAI development tools.
• Experience with Tomcat and Apache.
• Knowledge of Kerberos, mTLS, OAuth/OIDC, and SAML.
• Exposure to Podman and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Maven or Gradle.
• Experience with Ansible or similar automation tools.
• Knowledge of messaging and event-driven platforms.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
