What you'll do

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to establish CI/CD pipelines that enhance deployment efficiency and reduce time to market.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to ensure high availability and reliability of applications.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and processes through scripting and configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Implement security best practices across the infrastructure to safeguard sensitive data and maintain compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize resource usage and reduce operational costs.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on best practices in DevOps methodologies and tools.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems and respond to incidents as they arise.
  • Engage in continuous learning and stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the DevOps landscape.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of disaster recovery plans and ensure data backup strategies are effectively implemented.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps or related role, with a strong understanding of software development and system administration.
  • Proficiency in cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with hands‑on experience in deploying and managing applications in the cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of containerization technologies, particularly Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI, and familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, security protocols, and best practices for securing cloud environments.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby, with a focus on automation and efficiency.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced tech environment is a plus.
  • Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer) are advantageous.
