The role bridges engineering execution and architecture. You will remain actively involved in delivery while influencing strategic technology decisions, developing roadmaps and patterns, and guiding solutions through governance and change processes.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, business leaders, security, technology partners and vendors. The ability to build rapport, communicate complex concepts clearly and maintain trusted relationships is essential.
Your Key Responsibilities

- Advanced Microsoft Azure engineering across identity, networking, compute, storage, App Services, Functions, managed identities, Key Vault, monitoring, backup and disaster recovery.
- Demonstrated design and delivery of enterprise Azure platforms, landing zones, cloud migrations and hybrid-cloud solutions.
- Expert Infrastructure as Code capability using Terraform.
- Strong CI/CD and source-control capability using GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps.
- Advanced PowerShell capability and practical Bash scripting experience.
- Strong Microsoft Entra ID, identity governance, Conditional Access, privileged access and enterprise application integration experience.
- Strong cloud and hybrid networking knowledge, including hub-and-spoke patterns, routing, DNS, firewalls, VPN and ExpressRoute concepts. Ideally Cloudflare, Cisco.
- Practical DevSecOps experience embedding security, vulnerability management, testing and compliance controls into engineering workflows.
- Experience producing architecture and engineering artefacts and presenting designs, options, risks and recommendations to governance forums.
- Proven technical leadership, mentoring, stakeholder management, incident troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capability.
- Working knowledge of ITIL service management, change management, operational support and vendor management.
