Senior DevSecOps Engineer – Identity & Security (REF5699E)

About the Position

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join a team building Germany's next-generation Identity Provider platform for the national healthcare Telematics Infrastructure (TI), enabling millions of statutory health insurance members to securely access digital healthcare services. As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will own and evolve the cloud platform foundation, focusing on Kubernetes operations, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps practices, CI/CD automation, and modern cloud security controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and operate Kubernetes platforms (Helm, Gardener) on Open Telekom Cloud (OTC)
• Manage Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Implement GitOps delivery using ArgoCD.
• Operate PostgreSQL (CloudNativePG) and Apache Kafka (Strimzi) on Kubernetes.
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Harden ingress and service-to-service communication including mTLS.
• Collaborate with backend, security, QA, and architecture teams.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years’ operating Kubernetes in production.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, Terragrunt, ArgoCD.
• CI/CD, Docker, Linux and scripting (Bash/Python).
• Experience with GitOps and Infrastructure as Code.
• Security-first mindset and experience with secrets management and supply-chain security.
• Fluent English, German is a strong plus

• Gardener, CNPG, Strimzi Kafka.
• OTC / T-Cloud Sovereign.
• Istio, Cosign, KICS, kubeconform.
• Healthcare digital identity or regulated environment experience.
• German language skills.
