Job Description

Work-From-Home (CS Everywhere) - A work setup with unlimited access to the office and combined the flexibility and cost savings that comes with working from world-class offices

The Senior DAM Configuration Consultant is a senior individual contributor role on our offshore consulting team. You will work alongside our US-based senior consultants and engagement managers to deliver complex DAM implementations for enterprise clients.

The role will start as behind-the-scenes execution, working from a combination of meeting recordings, written documentation, and direct guidance from US-based senior consultants. You will also participate in live internal working sessions and may join client meetings in a silent observer or note-taking capacity, giving you direct exposure to client context as you build toward more visible roles over time. You will produce the documentation, configurations, and testing artifacts that drive successful DAM implementations. This focused execution period typically lasts 6-12 months and gives you deep exposure to AVP's methodology, our clients' contexts, and the full scope of how senior DAM consulting work is done.

Over time, the role evolves. Strong performers have two paths available, depending on your interests and strengths:

Client-facing track: You grow into a full consultant role, joining client meetings, leading workshops, owning specific workstreams with direct client interaction, and ultimately operating as a peer to the senior consulting staff. This is a meaningful career path and one that we are committed to supporting for the right candidates.

Senior specialist track: You grow into a configuration architect or technical lead role, providing platform expertise across multiple engagements, mentoring junior team members, and serving as the deep technical authority on Orange Logic or Aprimo. This path stays behind-the-scenes but at increasing levels of seniority and influence.

We are open about the dual paths because both create real value for us and we want candidates who are honest about which one fits them. Either path is a long-term home with a leading firm in the DAM industry.

What You'll Do

Your day-to-day work will combine business analyst, configuration specialist, and consulting skills. Specific activities include:

Business analysis and documentation

  • Translate client requirements (captured in meeting recordings, notes, and senior consultant guidance) into clear written specifications, requirements documents, user stories, and use cases
  • Map current state and future state workflows in visual diagrams and detailed spreadsheets
  • Develop system architecture diagrams and database documentation
  • Conduct metadata and taxonomy source data analysis
  • Develop metadata schemas, data dictionaries, taxonomies, and controlled vocabularies
  • Document asset organization structures, permissions models, asset format specifications, and navigation/interface specifications
  • Produce mockups and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Platform configuration

  • Configure Orange Logic (OrangeDAM) and Aprimo platforms based on approved specifications
  • Implement metadata schemas, taxonomies, permissions, workflows, and library structures
  • Make and document configuration decisions, including tradeoffs and rationale
  • Resolve configuration issues and propose alternative approaches when specifications are incomplete or inconsistent, or when platforms do not support the desired solution

Quality and testing

  • Plan and execute internal user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Document UAT results, issues, and resolutions
  • Prepare client UAT materials in support of senior consultants

Team contribution

  • Participate actively in internal team working sessions, providing senior input on configuration approach, documentation, and quality
  • Join client meetings in an observer or note-taking role, building familiarity with client context and AVP's client-facing methodology
  • Communicate progress, blockers, and questions clearly and proactively
  • Maintain organized project documentation in shared systems
  • As you grow into the role, mentor more junior offshore team members and contribute to team practices

Qualifications and Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional experience in DAM, content management systems (CMS), product information management (PIM), media asset management (MAM), digital experience platforms, or closely related enterprise software disciplines
  • Direct, hands-on experience configuring at least one enterprise DAM, CMS, MAM, or PIM platform. Familiarity with Orange Logic or Aprimo is required
  • Demonstrated experience producing high-quality written deliverables: requirements documents, specifications, process flows, SOPs, configuration documentation, or similar
  • Excellent written English. Most of your output will be written documentation that goes directly into client deliverables. This is a non-negotiable requirement for this role
  • Strong reading comprehension and listening skills. You will work extensively from meeting recordings and written notes, and you will need to synthesize what you hear and read into structured output
  • Strong working knowledge of metadata, taxonomy, controlled vocabularies, and structured data
  • Proficiency with diagramming and workflow mapping tools (Miro, Lucidchart, Visio, draw.io, or similar)
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets for workflow documentation, data analysis, and tracking
  • Experience supporting or working within professional services, consulting, or implementation engagements
  • Self-directed work style with strong attention to detail and the discipline to produce client-quality work without close oversight
  • Comfort with a fully remote, distributed team environment that requires US Eastern Time hours
  • Direct experience with Orange Logic (OrangeDAM) or Aprimo

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in library and information science, knowledge management, information architecture, or taxonomy development
  • Prior experience in a US-facing consulting role, ideally with enterprise clients
  • Spoken English at a level that supports active participation in working sessions and (eventually) client meetings
  • Certifications in business analysis (CBAP, CCBA, IIBA), project management (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile), or DAM-specific certifications
  • Experience producing UAT plans, test scripts, and test result documentation
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools commonly used in consulting (Confluence, Notion, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Smartsheet, Jira, Asana)
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted tools for documentation, summarization, transcript analysis, and platform configuration support
  • Prior mentoring or team lead experience

Personal Attributes

  • Senior judgment. You can identify when a specification is ambiguous, when a workflow has gaps, or when a stakeholder request creates a downstream issue, and you raise these proactively rather than executing around them
  • Detail-oriented and rigorous. Your written work is polished, accurate, and ready for client use without significant rework
  • Curious and quick to learn. You enjoy figuring out how new platforms work and going deeper on subjects you have not seen before
  • Comfortable with ambiguity. You can produce a strong first draft from incomplete information and refine it through iteration
  • Strong written communicator. Your documentation reads cleanly and is easy for others to use
  • Confident and direct. You can voice disagreement or concern professionally, including with people more senior than you
  • Reliable and consistent. You meet commitments and communicate proactively when timelines shift
  • Long-term mindset. You are looking for a stable, growth-oriented role with a leading firm, not a project-based contractor seat

What We Offer

  • A senior role on a small, high-quality team of DAM professionals, with direct mentorship from US-based senior consultants who are recognized leaders in the DAM industry
  • Defined career growth paths into either client-facing senior consultant roles or senior IC tracks, with the path you take determined by your interests and demonstrated strengths
  • Long-term, stable, dedicated employment with a leading consulting firm. We are not a body shop, and we are committed to investing in our offshore team as full members of the company
  • Exposure to enterprise clients across apparel, cultural institutions, media, healthcare, and Fortune 500 sectors, building a portfolio of work that few DAM consultants anywhere have access to
  • Direct training on Orange Logic, Aprimo, and our proprietary methodology
  • Collaborative culture that treats team members with respect, invests in professional development, and welcomes ideas from all levels of the team

  • Become part of the Employee Share Units program
  • Cloudstaff Dream Points - To be used for bidding useful items like appliances, kitchenettes etc.
