Senior Digital & CRM Manager (w/ SEO experience) (021 -1,317)
Looking for Philippines-based candidates
Job Role: Senior Digital & CRM Manager (w/ SEO experience)
Compensation range: AUD $3,100 - $4,300 monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This is a full-time role aligned with Australian business hours. Philippines-based candidates are preferred to allow approximately 2–3 hours of working-hour overlap with Sydney.
Who We Are:
At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote, so you'll be able to work from home.
Who The Client Is:
Our client is a growing hospitality group operating 18 venues across Sydney, including pubs, bars, restaurants, a nightclub, and accommodation properties. The group has an ambitious growth plan, with up to 10 additional venues expected within the next 18 months.
This is a newly created role and an opportunity to take ownership of the group's digital presence across multiple venues and brands.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior SEO & CRM Manager to own how the group's venues are discovered online, converted into bookings, and brought back through CRM and customer engagement activity.
This is a hands-on senior role. You will be responsible for improving local search visibility, building and optimising venue pages, managing Google Business Profiles, overseeing reviews, and developing CRM campaigns across approximately 10,000 existing customer records.
The ideal candidate will be highly proactive and able to assess a venue, identify opportunities, and determine what needs to be done without waiting for step-by-step instructions. You should be equally comfortable with strategy and execution — from identifying SEO opportunities and implementing structured data to building pages, sending campaigns, and responding to reviews.
Key Responsibilities
Local SEO & Discoverability
- Own and optimize Google Business Profiles across all venues.
- Audit and improve local search visibility across multiple Sydney locations.
- Maintain accurate business listings, NAP consistency, and local citations.
- Implement and maintain structured data/schema markup, including LocalBusiness, Hotel, and Events
- Monitor emerging AI search visibility and identify opportunities to improve discoverability.
- Manage review responses across venues, ensuring responses are handled within 72 hours.
- Develop and manage UTMs, unique URLs, and QR tracking to measure local activity.
Website & Conversion
- Build and optimize 60+ function room and accommodation pages across the group's venues.
- Manage CMS page creation, updates, and optimisation.
- Improve enquiry and booking pathways to increase conversion.
- Monitor page performance, redirects, and technical SEO requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve venue, accommodation, event, and function-room pages.
CRM & Customer Engagement
- Import, clean, organise, and segment approximately 10,000 existing customer records.
- Manage CRM platform administration and configuration.
- Build and send email and SMS campaigns.
- Track engagement, redemptions, and campaign performance.
- Develop reporting to understand customer behaviour and identify opportunities for repeat visits.
Reporting & Optimisation
- Provide monthly digital performance reporting for each venue.
- Monitor discoverability, traffic, enquiries, bookings, reviews, CRM engagement, and other relevant metrics.
- Identify performance gaps and proactively recommend improvements.
- Work closely with the onshore Creative Lead and Group Brand, Marketing & Strategy Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on local SEO experience, preferably across multiple locations or sites.
- Proven experience managing SEO for multi-location businesses. Multi-site experience is more important than agency experience.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of structured data and schema markup, including LocalBusiness, Hotel, and Event schema.
- Experience building and optimising website pages through a CMS.
- Proven experience with email marketing and/or CRM platforms, including campaign creation and deployment.
- Experience managing and responding to reviews at scale.
- Strong understanding of local SEO, Google Business Profiles, NAP consistency, listings, and local search optimisation.
- Ability to work independently from business objectives and context rather than requiring step-by-step briefs.
- Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Excellent written English communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience working within hospitality, accommodation, retail, or another multi-location business.
- Experience with Google Ads.
- Experience tracking or improving visibility within AI search and answer engines.
- Experience with function, events, accommodation, or venue-based businesses.
What Success Looks Like at 12 Months
By the end of your first 12 months, success will look like:
- Every venue has a complete, accurate, and optimised Google Business Profile.
- 100% of reviews receive a response within 72 hours, with overall review volume increased by 50% group-wide.
- Function rooms are discoverable in search, with dedicated capacity pages built and optimised across venues.
- The existing database of approximately 10,000 customer records has been successfully activated through CRM campaigns.
- Every licensee receives a clear, one-page monthly digital performance report — something that does not exist today.
A new venue can be onboarded into the digital and CRM systems in approximately two hours, rather than requiring a lengthy project.
Work Arrangement & Expectations:
This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:
- Work exclusively with the client’s business from their hire date and must not have any other ongoing employment, client work, freelance engagements, or side hustles.
- Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile, clearly marked as “Independent Contractor.”
- Work full-time and maintain regular overlap with Sydney business hours.
- Take ownership of digital performance across multiple venues and proactively identify and execute improvements.
- Be comfortable working independently without requiring detailed, step-by-step instructions.
- Understand that the role is both strategic and hands-on, with regular output and performance reviewed by the client.
- Escalate matters involving safety, discrimination, staff conduct, or legal concerns to the onshore team rather than responding independently.
Assessment Heads-Up:
As part of the hiring process, shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a practical assessment. This is designed to assess your ability to think strategically, identify opportunities, and apply your hands-on knowledge across local SEO, structured data, website optimisation, CRM, and multi-site digital management.
Important: This is a senior-level position. We are specifically looking for someone who can independently assess a multi-site business, identify what needs to be improved, and execute those improvements. Candidates who are purely strategy-focused or require detailed instructions are unlikely to be suitable.
