Your Role at Sephora: Ready for a career glow up? As Senior Director/Head of Skincare Marketing, you’ll be acting as the multi-disciplinary head of all aspects of the Skincare business for Marketing to drive sales and new clients for the category. The work you do will impact beauty, as you partner closely with the business, merchants, and brands to anticipate and react to the market. You’ll manage a team that’s united in beauty, supported by those who are equally passionate about leading a high-performing interdisciplinary marketing team to achieve category sales targets and profitability goals.
What You’ll Do:
- Create the strategic vision for driving traffic, increasing conversion, and gaining market share in the premium skincare category in partnership with Merchandising Skincare
- Own and direct all marketing-related work for the Skincare Category to achieve category sales targets, annual plans, in-store and digital campaigns, and market preparation
- Manage, advise, and mentor a team of 17 interdisciplinary marketing professionals to drive ownership, KPI attainment, and professional growth
- Guide and mentor the team to achieve Brand Investment targets across co-op and sampling to support Sephora profitability and Beauty Insider goals
- Manage through influence, close collaboration, and frequent communication with cross-functional stakeholders across Merchandising, Ecommerce, Personalization, Media, and Social
- Identify opportunities for cross-functional process and operational improvements and implement necessary changes
- Drive brand marketing and category marketing fundamentals to incubate new brands and build category success
- Cultivate creativity and disruption while championing diversity, equity, and inclusion and valuing uniqueness and differences
- Lead cross-functional projects and oversee multi-project management with strong organization, prioritization, and delegation
What You’ll Bring:
- 6 to 8 years of experience leading a team of brand marketers, category marketers, or marketing strategists
- 2 to 4 years of experience working with external brands to advise on growing their business and building their assortment
- Proven expertise in strategic vision-setting, leadership, and executive presence
- Strong background in brand marketing, category marketing, and the incubation of new brands
- Demonstrated ability to engage, inspire, coach, and manage a high-performing team
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge of category and brand building fundamentals
- Exceptional cross-functional team communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external partners
- High adaptability to near-constant change with proactive problem identification and problem-solving abilities
What You’ll Get:
The annual base salary range for this position is $206,380.00 - $230,660.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses. This job will be posted for a minimum of five days.
