Position Summary
The Senior Director - Digital Marketing is responsible for defining and executing Caris Life Sciences’ digital marketing strategy across the organization’s full portfolio of molecular science and precision oncology products and services. This role owns the digital ecosystem—including corporate and product websites, physician- and patient-facing portals, the marketing technology (MarTech) stack, the customer relationship management (CRM) platform, digital campaigns, social and digital media, and marketing analytics—ensuring every digital touchpoint reflects Caris’ position as a leader in precision medicine.
This leader manages a cross-functional team spanning web and digital production, marketing operations, CRM and database marketing, and digital creative. The Senior Director partners closely with Product Management, Medical Affairs, Sales, Information Technology, Corporate Communications, and other Marketing leaders to translate complex molecular science into clear, compelling, and compliant digital experiences for oncologists, biopharma partners, payors, and patients.
The ideal candidate combines deep digital marketing expertise with fluency in the precision medicine and oncology landscape and can move seamlessly among strategy, hands-on execution, and cross-functional leadership.
Job Responsibilities
Own the strategy, roadmap, and performance of all Caris digital properties, including the corporate website, product and solution pages, and physician- and patient-facing portals.
Ensure digital content and site architecture accurately reflect the current product portfolio, scientific positioning, and regulatory and compliance requirements specific to diagnostics and precision oncology.
Partner with user experience, design, information technology, and web development resources to continuously improve site performance, accessibility, search engine optimization, and conversion across physician, biopharma, and patient audiences.
Serve as the primary digital marketing partner for new product launches, product enhancements, and platform updates, ensuring digital assets, landing pages, and campaigns are ready in advance of go-to-market timelines.
Translate technical and scientific product information into digital content that resonates with distinct audiences, including ordering physicians, pathologists, biopharma partners, and patients.
Collaborate with Product Management and Medical and Scientific Affairs to ensure digital messaging remains aligned with the latest clinical evidence and test menu changes.
Lead the marketing CRM platform strategy, including segmentation, lead scoring, marketing automation, and integration with sales and customer engagement systems.
Manage marketing operations functions, including campaign workflows, digital asset management, data hygiene, and reporting infrastructure that support the broader marketing organization.
Evaluate and recommend MarTech investments that improve personalization, targeting, efficiency, and performance across digital channels.
Establish and monitor digital marketing key performance indicators, including website traffic, engagement, lead conversion, and campaign return on investment, and develop reporting that connects digital performance to business outcomes.
Identify trends in digital health, oncology and precision medicine, competitive digital presence, and healthcare consumer behavior, applying insights to strengthen the digital strategy.
Use A/B testing, customer journey analytics, and audience data to continuously optimize digital campaigns and website experiences.
Guide the organization’s social media and digital thought leadership presence, ensuring content reflects Caris’ science, culture, and leadership in precision oncology.
Oversee the development of digital-first marketing and communications materials, including website content, email, digital advertising, interactive presentations, and event microsites, that clearly communicate the value of Caris’ molecular solutions to patients, physicians, and partners.
Lead the creation of personalized, digitally native marketing experiences that drive engagement throughout the customer lifecycle.
Lead, develop, and mentor a team of digital marketers, marketing operations specialists, and CRM and campaign managers.
Serve as a senior member of the Marketing leadership team, contributing to overall brand and go-to-market strategy through a digital-first perspective.
Partner with internal stakeholders across Sales, Product Management, Information Technology, Legal and Compliance, Medical Affairs, and Corporate Communications to support digital initiatives related to product launches, product enhancements, and customer engagement.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of digital marketing experience, including significant experience in healthcare, life sciences, or diagnostics and at least four years of experience in consumer-facing digital marketing.
Proven success building and scaling marketing CRM and MarTech platforms and translating those capabilities into measurable campaign performance.
Demonstrated ability to design and execute digital campaigns tailored to distinct customer segments, including physicians, biopharma partners, patients, and consumers.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to establish digital processes and independently drive execution across multiple concurrent priorities.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex scientific and technical products into clear, differentiated digital customer value propositions.
Experience leading, managing, and developing a team of digital marketing professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in precision medicine, molecular diagnostics, or oncology.
Familiarity with healthcare marketing compliance requirements, including HIPAA considerations in digital campaigns and medical, legal, and regulatory review processes.
Hands-on experience with major marketing automation and CRM platforms, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo, or similar platforms.
Experience with website analytics tools, such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
Experience supporting both business-to-business digital marketing for physician and biopharma audiences and business-to-consumer digital marketing for patient and consumer audiences.

This is an in-office position located in Irving, Texas (vs remote).
This position requires periodic travel and some evenings, weekends and/or holidays (medical conventions are typically held over weekends, which this person would be required to attend).
