Qiddiya Investment Company is at the forefront of creating world-class entertainment and leisure destinations in Saudi Arabia, and we are seeking an innovative and strategic leader to join our team as the Senior Director - Design. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for shaping the design philosophy and overseeing the design direction for all development projects, ensuring they are both groundbreaking and aligned with the company’s vision of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement design strategies that align with Qiddiya's overarching goals and vision
- Lead and inspire a diverse team of designers and architects, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration
- Oversee the design development processes from initial concept through to project completion
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure design solutions are practical, innovative, and reflect community engagement
- Review and approve design proposals, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and compliance with relevant regulations
- Stay abreast of global design trends and best practices, integrating these insights into project initiatives
- Manage project timelines and budgets effectively, ensuring deliverables are met within expected parameters
- Engage with clients and stakeholders, presenting design concepts and incorporating their feedback into the design process
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- 15+ years of professional experience in design leadership roles, preferably within the real estate or entertainment sectors
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage creative teams
- Exceptional communication skills, with expertise in presenting complex design solutions to various audiences
- A proven track record of successfully delivering high-impact design projects on time and within budget
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices is highly advantageous
- Ability to think critically and creatively, with a strong attention to detail
