Senior Director, Global Partnerships

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Revenue Generation

  • Develop, create and sell commercial programs, sponsorship opportunities, contra offers and other activities that significantly increase the profitability of key events and the business generally
  • Meet and exceed revenue targets set by the business
  • Retain, manage and develop a portfolio of existing clients whilst maximising revenue opportunities across the company’s Korea & international portfolio
  • Drive sales and marketing efforts with various business units to execute sponsorship programs, including servicing of a significant and reputable client base
  • Help facilitate and engineer revenue generation opportunities for TKO’s international assets with Korea headquartered/domiciled organizations
  • Exploit market dynamics and relationships to promote revenue opportunities and conversion
  • Lead the development of ‘best practice’ across go-to-market process. This requires understanding and implementation of compelling, factual, tailored documents and multimedia presentations
  • Liaise with key stakeholders and contacts from governments, tourism entities, councils, venue holders, media, sponsors and partners, as required.

Leadership

  • Ensure the team is aligned with the company's mission and vision and are working together to successfully achieve strategic objectives.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration
  • Be a strong culture driver and internal leader in the Korea business while respecting the structure that each team in Korea is an extension of a global business line.

New Business

  • Develop strategies to acquire new clients (with governments, rights holders, federations etc) and revenue opportunities across TKO divisions
  • Introduce Korea brands/clients to TKO’s suite of international events and assets
  • Develop and pitch new business opportunities to existing and prospective clients
  • Extend and financially optimise TKO’s suite of assets across Korea

Strategy, Reporting and Compliance

  • Develop and execute the overall strategy for designated priorities in line with business objectives
  • Develop and implement collaborative strategies and activity plans for revenue optimisation between and within business divisions
  • Prepare and present a periodic report for senior management on sales and new business activity
  • Abide by internally established control systems and authorities, comply with all applicable laws and TKO Korea’s standards and policies

Communications and Industry Relations

  • Communicate in a productive and co-operative manner with all stakeholders including divisional leadership and shared services
  • Represent TKO to the highest professional standard at all times, with internal & external clients and stakeholders
  • Develop relationships with major stakeholders / rights owners / federations in Korea
  • Forge a leading presence in the corporate sponsorship landscape across the region and cultivate and enhance commercial relationships that build TKO equity and market place presence
  • Develop a market-leading understanding of corporate sponsorship spend and build enduring relationships with key corporate executives that influence this spend

Knowledge and Experience

  • Significant impactful experience in the sales & marketing / business development industry (ideally from sport/media/entertainment/events)
  • Relevant event planning and operational experience
  • Demonstrated ability to sell to and exceed stretch financial targets
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate, sell and grow new business assets
  • Proven team management experience in mid to large organisaitonal structure
  • Superior understanding of brand & communications / marketing mix and sponsorship market
  • Marketing/Business Administration qualifications highly regarded

  • Creative thinking – how to utilise the collective IP of TKO to create new assets and commercial relationships
  • Exceptional problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Outstanding revenue generation and business development acumen
  • Proven ability to devise, commercialise and implement events in complex stakeholder environments

  • Fluent in written and spoken Korean and English

This role is based at IMG Korea office, Seoul.
