We’re hiring for a hybrid role. You’ll work on-site with your team several days each week (typically 2–3), with the specific days set by your manager. Because regular in-person collaboration is central to this job, we look for candidates who live within about 50 miles of the office.

About the Role
The Senior Director, Marketing Content & Editorial leads Everfox’s global content strategy, organic social media, and brand engagement programs. This role translates Everfox’s corporate positioning, solution priorities, customer value, and market expertise into compelling content that builds awareness, engagement, and demand across priority audiences.
This leader oversees an integrated content engine across digital channels, social media, customer storytelling, research, publications, multimedia, and campaign content—ensuring a consistent, differentiated, and authoritative brand voice. Working closely with Solution Marketing, Brand & Creative, Demand Generation, Regional/Field Marketing, Communications, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing Operations, the Senior Director aligns content strategy with business priorities and continuously evolves Everfox’s approach based on market insights and performance.

Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Editorial Leadership
• Develop Everfox’s enterprise content strategy aligned to corporate positioning, solution priorities, target audiences, and growth objectives.
• Lead integrated editorial planning, content architecture, and a market-facing content calendar.
• Produce content across formats including articles, research, whitepapers, case studies, customer stories, product/solution content, video, multimedia, and presentations.
• Translate complex cybersecurity and defense technology topics into clear, compelling content for technical, mission, business, and executive audiences.
• Establish standards for voice, tone, editorial quality, and content governance.
• Build repeatable processes for content planning, creation, review, approval, distribution, reuse, and optimization.
• Extend high-value content across channels, campaigns, audiences, and markets.
Brand Engagement & Organic Social
• Lead Everfox’s brand engagement strategy across organic social channels, emphasizing LinkedIn and other priority platforms.
• Grow and engage relevant audiences in critical markets and communities.
• Build employee and subject matter expert advocacy programs that responsibly amplify Everfox’s expertise.
• Identify emerging formats, channels, and engagement opportunities that strengthen market connection.
• Partner with Brand & Creative to ensure all content reinforces Everfox’s brand strategy and standards.
• Partner with Demand Generation to connect social engagement to campaign pathways and measurable demand.
Digital Content & Web Experience
• Provide strategic oversight for content across Everfox’s digital properties.
• Establish web content strategy, priorities, editorial standards, and governance.
• Optimize digital content based on audience behavior, search insights, engagement data, and business needs.
• Collaborate with web and technical teams to improve usability, relevance, and effectiveness across digital experiences.
• Ensure content remains current, accurate, differentiated, and consistent.
Customer & Market Storytelling
• Partner with Customer Success, Sales, and Solution Marketing to develop compelling customer evidence and mission use cases.
• Produce customer case studies, testimonials, videos, and advocacy content.
• Translate customer and market insights into content themes addressing key buyer challenges.
• Build a library of customer proof points for activation across campaigns, Sales, digital channels, events, and marketing programs.
Integrated Marketing & Campaign Content
• Translate portfolio positioning, customer needs, and competitive differentiation into campaign-ready content.
• Develop content strategies and assets for integrated campaigns and buyer journeys.
• Ensure content initiatives have clear audiences, objectives, distribution plans, and success measures.
• Partner with regional marketing to adapt global content for local markets and events.
• Support major launches and strategic initiatives with integrated content plans.
Communications Partnership
• Partner with Corporate Communications to align market-facing content with corporate messaging.
• Coordinate on announcements and external communications where Marketing and Communications intersect.
• Support amplification of approved executive thought leadership across owned channels.
• Maintain clear ownership boundaries with Communications regarding internal communications and PR.
Measurement & Optimization
• Establish KPIs for content, organic social, web engagement, and brand programs.
• Measure performance across audience growth, engagement, consumption, traffic, conversion, utilization, and other indicators.
• Partner with Marketing Operations to understand content’s role in campaigns, buyer progression, and pipeline.
• Continuously improve strategy, channel mix, content formats, and investment based on insights.
• Establish a test‑and‑learn approach across themes, distribution, and audience engagement.
Strategic Leadership & Team Development
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team responsible for content and brand engagement.
• Establish clear roles, priorities, standards, and processes.
• Provide direction to internal teams, agencies, writers, and creators.
• Strengthen Everfox’s capabilities in content strategy, editorial excellence, digital storytelling, social media, and audience engagement.
• Manage agency, vendor, and program investments.
• Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, measurement, and continuous improvement.
Key Knowledge & Skills
• Expertise in enterprise content strategy, editorial leadership, digital content, and brand engagement.
• Strong ability to translate technical cybersecurity topics into compelling narratives.
• Deep understanding of digital engagement, content distribution, and organic social growth.
• Excellent leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex workflows, governance, and integrated content operations.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using data to optimize strategy and performance.
• Experience leading creative teams, agencies, writers, and multimedia resources.
Key Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in content strategy, editorial leadership, digital content, or brand engagement roles.
• Experience in cybersecurity, defense technology, SaaS, or mission-focused industries preferred.
• Proven success leading high-performing content or brand engagement teams.
• Ability to travel for internal collaboration, events, and customer storytelling initiatives.
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:
$218,400.00-272,600.00 USDThe actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs. In addition to a base salary and bonus plans, Everfox offers a generous benefits package including flexible PTO, a 401k match, and contribution to healthcare coverages.
