Compensation Range

The base pay scale for this position is $169,000.00 - $257,875.00. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

What you will be doing

The Lead for Momentum is responsible for setting the strategic direction, building the operating model, and leading the growth of Momentum as HSS’s flagship prevention, performance, and preservation platform. This role sits at the intersection of healthcare innovation, consumer experience, musculoskeletal health, and business growth, with accountability for translating vision into a scalable, high-impact model that expands HSS’s reach beyond traditional episodic care.
The position will lead the development of Momentum as a differentiated, premium offering rooted in HSS clinical excellence and designed to deliver a high-touch, data-driven, consumer-centered experience. This includes oversight of strategy, product and program development, partnerships, operations, financial performance, market positioning, and cross-functional alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
This leader must be equally comfortable defining long-term strategy, building new service lines, shaping the member experience, driving revenue growth, and representing Momentum to executive leadership, partners, and the broader market.

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and lead the long-term vision, growth strategy, and business roadmap for Momentum in alignment with HSS enterprise priorities.
  • Position Momentum as a category-defining platform in prevention, performance, longevity, and musculoskeletal health.
  • Identify and evaluate new opportunities for market expansion, service innovation, partnerships, and digital enablement.
  • Translate institutional goals into a clear operating strategy with measurable milestones, phased launches, and scalable business plans.
  • Serve as the primary executive leader responsible for turning Momentum from concept into a sustainable growth engine for HSS.

Program Development

  • Lead the design, launch, and evolution of Momentum’s core offerings and comprehensive verticals.
  • Oversee the development of new products, pilot programs, and premium service models that test demand, refine operations, and inform future scale.
  • Ensure all offerings reflect the Momentum brand promise of high-touch, personalized, data-informed musculoskeletal care.
  • Drive integration of physical services, digital tools, assessments, and longitudinal member engagement into one cohesive experience.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in prevention, performance, healthspan, concierge care, and musculoskeletal innovation.

Operational Accountability

  • Establish the operating model, workflows, staffing structure, and cross-functional processes required to support launch readiness and scale.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators tied to growth, experience, operational efficiency, and clinical-commercial performance.
  • Partner with finance and senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and business case development.
  • Identify operational risks and solve for barriers that may impede execution, growth, or brand trust.

Consumer Experience & Brand Development

  • Champion an exceptional member experience that reflects HSS quality while delivering a premium, concierge-level model of care.
  • Help define Momentum’s market identity, value proposition, and differentiators in a crowded health, wellness, and performance landscape.
  • Partner with marketing and communications teams to shape launch strategy, storytelling, and audience engagement.
  • Ensure the brand experience is consistent across physical locations, digital touchpoints, partnerships, and service delivery.
  • Use consumer feedback, pilot learnings, and utilization data to continuously refine the model.
  • Identify, cultivate, and lead strategic partnerships that accelerate brand awareness, growth, innovation, and market credibility.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in fitness, wellness, performance, preventive health, and/or healthcare innovation, with experience leading growth-oriented programs, service lines, or business initiatives
  • Strong strategic planning, operational leadership, and business development skills.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing across complex organizations.
  • Strong financial acumen with ability to connect strategy, operations, and revenue performance.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders, clinical leaders, partners, and external audiences.
  • Deep appreciation for consumer experience, premium service delivery, and brand development.
  • Experience in musculoskeletal health, sports medicine, prevention, performance, or longevity-focused care models preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong execution skills and comfort operating in ambiguity.
