Senior Director of Production and Tenant Platform Engineering
You will lead the engineering organization responsible for platform reliability, scalability, and lifecycle management. You will set a unified platform strategy, oversee production outcomes and incidents, evolve architecture, manage senior leaders, and turn organizational goals into actionable roadmaps. You will improve fleet management, cloud efficiency, observability, tenant controls, upgrade tooling, and operational interfaces across SaaS, Dedicated, and self-managed environments.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute a unified platform roadmap across Production Engineering and Tenant Experience.
- Oversee incident management, alert efficacy, and service-level reliability.
- Manage and coach a senior management team on performance, hiring, structure, and execution.
- Guide platform architecture, fleet management, cloud utilization, observability, self-healing, and upgrade tooling.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, reliability, and delivery leaders on platform investments.
- Translate organizational goals into actionable roadmaps and technical trade-offs.
- Champion initiatives that reduce operational toil and standardize platform interfaces.
Requirements
- Experience leading large, distributed engineering organizations and managing managers.
- Experience owning critical production systems at scale.
- Knowledge of incident response, traffic management, capacity planning, and cloud infrastructure costs.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, containerized platforms, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, multi-tenant SaaS, and self-managed deployments.
- Ability to assess complex architectural trade-offs and provide direction.
- Experience leading organizational growth, change, or technical modernization.
- Ability to improve reliability, reduce operational toil, or optimize infrastructure efficiency.
