Senior Director Procurement
You will shape and scale procurement strategy, policies, systems, and purchase controls. You will lead strategic vendor relationships and negotiations, improve procure-to-pay processes, partner with stakeholders and auditors, introduce AI-enabled workflows, define performance metrics, and develop the procurement team.
Responsibilities
- Lead hyperscaler and strategic vendor relationships across commercial terms, GTM incentives, product co-development opportunities, and partner program value.
- Drive the procurement function forward with speed and quality for internal stakeholders.
- Create, communicate, and execute a procurement strategy that supports business objectives, operational efficiency, risk management, and scalable decision-making.
- Own procurement policies, practices, and systems that support scale, manage risk, and improve efficiency.
- Develop procurement processes, systems, and purchase controls that support compliance, increase policy adoption, and improve operational efficiency.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and advisors to improve procurement, negotiation, audit, and accounting processes.
- Build cross-functional relationships to understand business needs and ensure procurement programs deliver value.
- Lead vendor negotiation strategy and support negotiations to secure stronger pricing, favorable terms, and measurable business value.
- Build AI-enabled procurement workflows that reduce manual work and cycle times.
- Define team KPIs, identify performance gaps, and lead improvement plans.
- Lead and develop the procurement team to strengthen accountability and performance.
Requirements
- Significant procurement experience within a technology company, including experience leading procurement teams.
- Experience building procurement strategies, operating models, and controls that support growth and consistency.
- Industry knowledge, practical experience, and awareness of business tradeoffs.
- Ability to assess stakeholder needs and adapt to policies, practices, trends, and business requirements.
- Experience improving procure-to-pay processes for speed, consistency, and quality.
- Experience developing vendor negotiation strategies and managing supplier relationships.
- Leadership experience setting goals, improving team performance, and developing others.
- Ability to build scalable solutions in an asynchronous, cross-functional environment.
