Specific Accountabilities:
The Sr. District Manager is accountable for the overall sales, profitability, labor, operational execution, and leadership performance of an assigned group of stores. This role holds Store Managers accountable to Busch's standards, builds a strong leadership pipeline, and partners cross-functionally to resolve operational barriers and deliver company objectives.
District Sales, Profitability & Operating Plan Ownership
· Drive profitable sales to achieve company objectives in sales, labor and sell thru.
· Own district execution against approved sales, profitability, labor and operating plans; identify variances and implement corrective actions.
· Responsible for overall performance of assigned stores, including sales, profitability, labor, inventory, shrink, guest experience, associate engagement, operational execution and leadership performance.
· Analyze sales, profit and loss performance, labor, shrink, inventory, guest feedback and operational metrics to identify trends, determine root causes and implement corrective actions that improve business results.
· Work within the approved budget to achieve assigned goals. Hold each Store Manager accountable for consistently attaining Busch's standards.
Store Standards, Execution & Field Presence
· Ensure consistent execution of company standards for merchandising, marketing initiatives, in-stock conditions, freshness, cleanliness, signage, store presentation, food safety, workplace safety, labor management, inventory controls and guest service.
· Maintain consistent field presence based on store performance and leadership needs to inspect execution, coach leaders, identify barriers and verify completion of corrective actions.
· Establish clear expectations and hold Store Managers accountable for priorities, responsibilities, execution routines, deadlines and consistent follow-through.
· Develop, review and monitor store action plans with defined objectives, measurable targets, owners, timelines and follow-up to ensure identified opportunities are resolved and improvements are sustained.
Labor Management & Performance Planning
· Drive disciplined labor management by reviewing sales, labor hours, productivity, scheduling and wage performance and holding Store Managers accountable to established labor expectations.
· Establish measurable performance and development plans for Store Managers based on business results, leadership effectiveness and operational execution, with defined expectations, targets, timelines and follow-up.
· Ensure Store Managers understand and use financial, guest and operational data to identify opportunities, establish measurable plans and improve results.
· Build relationships and work effectively with other business functions to increase sales through guests' experiences with associates, products, merchandising and store conditions.
Leadership Development & Talent Pipeline
· Assist in planning, designing and maintaining processes for continuous selection, training and development of future Store and Department Managers. Develop and place associates to optimize the overall success of the store operations.
· Build a sustainable leadership pipeline through succession planning, coaching, mentoring, performance management and development of Store Managers, Department Managers, Swing roles and emerging leaders.
· Keep updated of store and team concerns, needs and morale to build and sustain an engaged, productive team that produces results. Communicate observations, trends and suggestions constructively to resolve issues.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Strategic Initiatives
· Partner cross-functionally to resolve operational barriers, align priorities and deliver company objectives.
· Lead operational readiness and execution for remodels, leadership transitions, new programs and other strategic initiatives.
· Facilitate and assist with new store openings.
Market Awareness & Risk Management
· Evaluate competitive activity, market trends and guest expectations and translate relevant findings into actions that improve store execution and business performance.
· Anticipate operational risks, remove barriers and take preventative or corrective action to protect business results, associates and the guest experience.

Education, Experience and Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in business or related field is preferred.
· Minimum 6-8 years' experience working in a high-volume food service, restaurant, or retail environment. Minimum 5 years working as a store manager or store director.
· Proficient management and leadership skills.
· Proficient conflict resolution skills.
· Proficient organization and planning skills, especially managing multiple deadlines and projects.
· Proficient presentation skills, including confidence in getting up in front of people.
· Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, including written, verbal and listening skills.
· Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word and email. Able to learn and use a variety of proprietary applications and technology.
· Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
· Proficient merchandising skills to plan displays designed to drive profit, create interest, perceived value and suggest meal solutions.
· Experience in creating and working with a 12-month budget.
