Customer Engagement and Technical Leadership
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers on E&I-related matters during project execution
- Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and clarification meetings with customers, consultants, end users, and inspection agencies
- Review customer specifications, datasheets, and contract documents to ensure technical alignment and compliance
- Support project teams in resolving technical issues, scope clarifications, and engineering deviations
- Build strong customer relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, and technical credibility
- Support Sales and Proposal teams during bidding, technical clarification, and project pursuit activities
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and designers
- At Principal level, provide regional technical leadership and drive engineering standardization initiatives
Project Engineering and Detailed Design- Execute basic and detailed engineering in line with project requirements, customer specifications, and international standards
- Prepare, review, and approve engineering deliverables in accordance with project schedules and Emerson quality expectations
- Develop and review key engineering documents, including drawings, calculations, specifications, procedures, and manuals
- Review and approve control panel layouts, wiring drawings, and system integration documentation
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering interfaces across Mechanical, Software, Process, and Project teams
- Ensure compliance with project quality plans and document control processes
Instrumentation and Control Systems- Prepare datasheets and specifications for instrumentation and electrical equipment such as flow meters, transmitters, control valves, analyzers, flow computers, panels, and power distribution equipment
- Perform engineering calculations including sizing, power, cable, voltage drop, and loop load calculations
- Ensure effective integration with DCS, PLC, SCADA, and flow computer systems
- Support troubleshooting during integration, testing, and commissioning phases
Compliance, Codes, and Standards- Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable international standards and customer specifications
- Apply hazardous area classification and protection concepts appropriately
- Participate in technical audits, inspections, design reviews, HAZOP, and SIL sessions as required
Procurement and Vendor Collaboration- Prepare technical inputs for purchase requisitions and RFQ packages
- Perform technical bid evaluations and review vendor documentation
- Coordinate with suppliers to support timely document submission and equipment delivery
- Participate in supplier inspections, FATs, and technical witness activities where applicable
Fabrication, Testing, and Commissioning- Provide engineering support during fabrication, assembly, and system integration
- Support FAT, SAT, site installation, commissioning, and field troubleshooting activities
- Contribute to project close-out and as-built documentation
Project Coordination and Risk Management- Support Project Managers with planning, execution tracking, and coordination activities
- Identify technical risks and execution challenges and develop mitigation actions
- Manage multiple projects while prioritizing deliverables against project milestones
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support continuous improvement initiatives

A degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline

Relevant experience delivering E&I engineering for industrial or project-based environments

Hands-on experience with custody transfer metering systems, analyzer systems, instrumentation systems, or packaged skid solutions

Strong understanding of industrial electrical and instrumentation systems

Familiarity with international engineering standards and measurement codes

Experience working with hazardous area requirements and protection concepts

Ability to independently execute engineering activities and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams

Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder engagement skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant engineering tools

A customer-focused mindset with attention to quality and results

Experience supporting Measurement Systems and Solutions (MSS) projects

Exposure to flow computers, PLC, SCADA, or DCS integration

Experience with analyzer and sampling systems

Participation in FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities

Experience working in international or EPC project environments

Technical leadership or mentoring experience

Knowledge of FPSO systems and marine certification requirements

Familiarity with engineering workflows and document control systems

Professional Engineer registration or equivalent accreditation
