Job Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support the delivery of major Data Centre projects across Ireland and Greater Europe.

This is a senior, design-focused role requiring strong experience in the electrical design of Data Centre projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering electrical engineering solutions while working closely with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams to ensure designs are technically robust, coordinated and suitable for construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver electrical designs for major Data Centre projects.
• Produce electrical design calculations, specifications, drawings and technical documentation.
• Develop electrical engineering solutions in line with project requirements, applicable standards and design specifications.
• Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical, architectural, structural and other engineering disciplines.
• Review and develop electrical layouts, schematics and design documentation.
• Support design development from concept through to detailed design and construction.
• Identify and resolve design issues and technical queries throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in design reviews and multidisciplinary coordination meetings.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
• Provide technical input and support during construction and project delivery.
• Ensure electrical designs are coordinated, compliant and delivered in accordance with project requirements.
• Contribute to the delivery of Data Centre projects across Ireland and Greater Europe.

Requirements

• 7–12 years' experience in electrical engineering design.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and engineering design principles relevant to Data Centre environments.
• Experience producing and reviewing electrical drawings, specifications, calculations and technical documentation.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams.
• Ability to coordinate electrical design with other engineering disciplines.
• Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills.
• Relevant Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working on projects in Ireland and/or Greater Europe is advantageous.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland (Valid Visa or EU Citizenship)
