Clarke Energy Australia is seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team. Reporting to the Senior Principal Electrical Engineer, this role provides technical leadership across a broad range of power generation and energy infrastructure projects, while supporting the ongoing development of engineering standards, systems and people.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of electrical systems for complex turnkey projects, from concept development through to commissioning and final handover. You will work closely with clients, suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on budget and in accordance with contractual requirements.

This role offers the opportunity to influence project outcomes, mentor engineers, support business development activities and contribute to the continued growth and success of Clarke Energy's engineering capabilities.

  • Lead and coordinate electrical design teams across multiple projects
  • Deliver detailed electrical designs and engineering documentation for power generation and energy infrastructure projects
  • Ensure electrical systems and designs meet project objectives, client requirements and relevant standards
  • Establish, maintain and improve engineering standards, templates and design processes
  • Support tender preparation, engineering estimates and proposal development activities
  • Coordinate consulting engineers and specialist studies where required
  • Liaise with clients to define project objectives and communicate technical requirements
  • Manage procurement activities for electrical equipment and materials throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate suppliers and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are achieved
  • Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, testing and handover activities
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular reporting to stakeholders
  • Support supplier evaluations, negotiations and contractor performance management
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across engineering systems and processes
  • Mentor and support the professional development of engineers and technical staff
  • Assist with recruitment and development of engineering resources
  • Attend factory inspections and factory acceptance testing when required
  • Support operation and maintenance documentation and ongoing asset performance requirements

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor of Engineering qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical engineering within power generation, energy, mining, industrial or related sectors
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of electrical design, project delivery and engineering management processes
  • Experience working across the full project lifecycle from concept design through commissioning
  • Excellent report writing, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and lead technical decision making
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and AutoCAD will be highly regarded
  • Australian work authorisation is required at the time of application.
