Senior Electrical Engineer

Due to a strong pipeline of new project work we are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to carry out electrical and lighting designs (Level 3 Accredited) as well as private designs. We offer a flexible work environment which includes working from our St Leonard's or Parramatta office as well as work from home options.

The role

Reporting to the Team Lead, you will primarily carry out Level 3 Accredited Service Provider electrical and lighting designs along with private designs. There are options for the right candidate to move into a Team Leader position. You will work across a broad variety of projects in many market sectors ranging from new network greenfield connection, alterations to existing connections in brownfield areas or infrastructure projects. The seniors are hands-on with delivering projects, however, allow employees opportunities to gain more responsibility and more ownership/autonomy over their work.

Day to day tasks would involve\:

• Design and drafting of ASP3 electrical drawings including overhead and underground works.
• Prepare packages to obtain certification meeting all requirements and objectives for Stantec, Clients, and Authorities
• Ensure designs are compliant and according to Utility Network Standards and Authorities (Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy, Essential Energy, Transgrid, TfNSW), Councils, Australian standards and other relevant standards, policies and practices.
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders including energy authorities.
• Liaise with other disciples within Stantec.
• Conduct site inspections and data collection/testing.
