Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Job purpose
Overseeing and managing electrical maintenance activities. Developing and implementing maintenance procedures, diagnosing, and resolving electrical maintenance issues. Supervising a team to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Key accountability areas
Unplanned breakdown resolution:
Execute and provide technical support to the maintenance team for the prompt resolution of unplanned machine breakdowns.
Ensure swift resolution to return machines to the production process, meeting monthly production targets.
Preventive maintenance and machine lifetime:
Plan and supervise the execution of preventive maintenance to preserve machine lifetime and ensure machine reliability.
Finalize production targets at the appropriate time by adhering to a structured preventive maintenance plan.
Spare parts management:
Request and control electrical spare parts for factory machines, ensuring timely completion of maintenance tasks while adhering to cost reduction objectives.
Monitor the value of spare parts stock and maintain it in accordance with agreed-upon target values with management.
Machine modification and productivity:
Design and execute modifications for production machines to address major problems, enhance productivity, or introduce new product generations.
Team management and training:
Manage, train, and coordinate the electrical maintenance team for the efficient execution of maintenance work.
Record work in SAP to maintain a comprehensive machine history and track working times.
Electrical installation and relocation:
Plan and oversee the execution of electrical installation work for new machines.
Coordinate and observe the execution of relocation work for new or existing machines in collaboration with the mechanical team.
Role accountability
HR proficiency:
Training of subordinates and forming a team to get the work done effectively.
Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
Delegate subordinates in each respective assignment.
Ensure fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale and motivation of subordinates.
Delivery:
Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
Provide a periodic report detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.
Problem-solving:
Resolve any related problems that arise and escalate any complex operational issues.
Business process improvements:
Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities as much as possible.
Compliance:
Comply with related policy, procedures, and work instructions.
Health, safety and environment:
Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
Academic qualification
Bachelor degree in electrical engineering
Work experience
6 to 10 years
