Senior Electronics Engineer
Summary
Design the electronics at the heart of Armory's defence-tech products: schematics, multilayer high-speed and mixed-signal PCB layouts, ADC/DAC and DSP integration, and wireless/IoT hardware, then take boards through bring-up, debugging, and volume manufacturing. In-office role in Gurugram; 6+ years hardware design experience required.
Requirements
About this role
As a Senior Electronics Engineer at Armory, you will design the electronics at the heart of our defense-tech products. From schematic to production-ready hardware, you will own complex, high-speed, mixed-signal designs that have to perform flawlessly in the field. You will take hard electronics problems from first principles to working boards and make them manufacturable, reliable, and ready for the harshest conditions.
Schematic Design: Architect and capture schematics for complex electronic systems, from power to high-speed digital to mixed-signal.
PCB Layout: Own multilayer, high-density PCB layout with a deep focus on signal integrity, power integrity, and manufacturability.
High-Speed & Complex Boards: Design high-speed and complex multilayer boards, managing signal integrity, controlled impedance, and EMI from the start.
Mixed-Signal & Data Converters: Design mixed-signal circuits and integrate ADCs/DACs and data converters for high-fidelity signal paths.
DSP Integration: Integrate DSPs and signal-processing pipelines into hardware for real-time performance.
Wireless & IoT: Design connected, IoT-enabled hardware with wireless and RF connectivity (BLE, Wi-Fi, and similar).
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC): Apply ANC and related signal-processing techniques where product requirements demand it.
Bring-up, Test & Debug: Bring up prototypes, debug at the bench with lab instruments, and validate designs against spec.
Design for Manufacturing: Work with manufacturing and supply teams to take boards through assembly, testing, and volume production.

- Deep technical expertise in electronics and board design.
- A first-principles approach to hard circuit and system problems.
- Obsession with reliability — your boards work the first time and every time.
- Taking full ownership of a design from schematic to production.
- A hands-on approach to design, bring-up, and debugging.
- A mindset geared towards rapid execution and innovation.
- Getting s**t done.
A live project: You will jump straight into a live product as soon as you join. No dummy or test projects.
State-of-the-art tools and technologies: You will have access to industry-leading EDA tools, lab equipment, and prototyping resources required.
Access to resources: You name it, we will do everything to get it for you.
Supportive team: You will be surrounded by the best minds ready to help you.
We target to close the hiring process within 14 days of your application.
Round 1: Screening Application
Duration: At your own pace but if it takes you less than 15 minutes to apply, you are unlikely to move to the next round.
How to ace: Do not copy-paste your answers from a website or ChatGPT. Be specific in your answers. It’s about you.
Codeword: Use IMPEDANCE in the application form where it asks you for Codeword. This way we know you have read the JD :)
Round 2: Introduction round Duration: 1 hour How to ace: Be yourself. We want to know YOU, not some ideal unrealistic person. Demonstrate your expertise in the area we are evaluating. Ask good questions.
Round 3: Take home exercise
Duration: 2 hours How to ace: Show curiosity. Go beyond what you were expected to do. Come back with more ideas.
Congratulations! You are now a part of Armory. You will build something that let’s you sleep at night with a feeling you did something meaningful. Buckle up for a ride into the future.

Irrespective of you applying at Armory or not, some of the following tips will definitely help you in your job search.
How to get hired
Targeted Applications: Ensure your application is tailored specifically for the job you’re applying for by understanding its requirements and showcasing relevant experiences and skills. Apply for THIS job, not some job.
Quality Over Quantity: Instead of applying to 100 jobs casually, it’s far better to apply to 4 seriously.
Stand out: Most people don’t put any efforts in applying to jobs, their applications look exactly the same. It’s easy to stand out from them just by putting a little effort and showcasing your relevant experience and interest for the said job.
How to NOT get hired
If your cover letter starts with “Honestly, I possess all the skills and experience that you’re looking for”, then you are not going to make it. In fact, we wrote a long thread on all the ways you will NOT get hired. We highly recommend you to read it.
We wish you the best in your job search!
