Senior Electronics Engineer

Location: £35,000 - £55,000 Per Annum + Excellent Benefits.

The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to join an innovative engineering and manufacturing business. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will play a key role in the design, development and continuous improvement of electronic products, supporting projects from initial concept through to production and customer delivery.

This is a varied, hands-on role offering the opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle while collaborating with engineering, production and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop analogue and digital electronic circuits and PCBs.
  • Support products throughout the full lifecycle, from concept and prototyping to production and ongoing improvements.
  • Review and redesign existing electronic products to meet current quality, safety and regulatory standards.
  • Carry out fault finding to component level and support product testing and validation.
  • Produce technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, build instructions and test procedures.
  • Ensure products comply with relevant UK, EU and international standards.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to support production and resolve technical issues.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and new product development.
  • Provide technical guidance and communicate complex engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
About You:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Electronics Engineering.
  • Strong experience in analogue and digital PCB design.
  • Experience with power supplies, DC motor controls and battery chargers.
  • Excellent fault-finding skills to component level.
  • Experience using laboratory test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters and power supplies.
  • Knowledge of UK, EU and relevant industry standards.
  • Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative engineering team.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with PCB design software such as EasyPC.
  • Knowledge of Assembler, BASCOM or FlowCode programming.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or product development environment.
  • CSCS, IPAF or Health & Safety qualifications.
