- Design complex high-speed boards hosting high-performance FPGA/SoC devices and multi-chip packages for optical communication terminals.
- Own schematic capture, constraint definition and PCB layout, applying device-vendor design guidelines for fan-out, stack-up, power delivery and high-speed serial links.
- Perform or coordinate SI/PI and thermal analyses, and close the design together with mechanical and thermal teams.
- Work with PCB manufacturers and assembly suppliers on stack-up, DFM and fabrication.
- Bring up, test and debug boards in the lab and verify them against requirements.
- Prepare design documentation, support design reviews and hand over to production.
- Required experience: Minimum 6 years of hands-on professional experience in the field.
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field.
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on professional experience designing and laying out complex multilayer high-speed PCBs, ideally with high-ball-count FPGAs/BGAs.
- Expert, hands-on use of Altium Designer, including layout.
- Strong knowledge of high-speed design: controlled impedance, multi-gigabit SerDes, DDR memory interfaces and PDN design.
- Hands-on experience with SI/PI simulation tools.
- Hands-on board bring-up and lab debugging experience.
- Experience in space, airborne or defense applications and knowledge of IPC standards are a plus.
- High attention to quality combined with a practical mindset.
