Breville enhances people's lives through the delivery of brilliant innovation and thoughtful design based on deep consumer insights and creating products that combine thoughtful design, reliable performance and practical innovation. Our firmware team works across embedded software, IoT connectivity, advanced control systems and product validation, supporting new products from early prototypes through to launch. About the Role We’re looking for software or firmware engineers who love creating things, can produce good code quickly, and have a curiosity for solving problems. Our technology stack involves different technologies and is often changing, so we’re looking for talented engineers who are willing to learn. You'll partner with cross functional teams across software, hardware, product, and design to build scalable, high-performance solutions across the full product lifecycle – from concept through to release and optimisation. This is a Sydney-based role that will require you to work in office when required but accommodates a hybrid working arrangement. What You’ll Do Create embedded software inside a range of appliances, delivering robust and scalable applications that integrate seamlessly with hardware, cloud services and mobile apps. Design and develop re-useable software using JS/TS, C/C++ and Python across mobile, embedded and high-end embedded systems environments. Collaboratively work with a cross functional team to develop a unique user experience, partnering closely with hardware engineers, mechanical engineers, firmware developers, product managers and designers. Optimise and improve system architectures in the software stack and hardware interfaces to ensure performance, reliability and scalability across devices.
