We are seeking a proactive Senior Embedded Software Engineer with 4 to 5 years of experience to join our Electro-Optics team. The primary focus of this role is platform enablement and hardware-to-software bridging on NXP i.MX8MP and Xilinx SOM platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for waking up thehardware, managing build environments, and enabling key communication, navigation, and video modules.
You will act as the technical bridge, providing stable, tested APIs and functional drivers to the final application integration team.
Qualifications:
• 4 to 5 years of professional experience in embedded software development.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering or a
related field.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++ for both Baremetal and Linux-embedded environments.
• Hands-on experience with NXP i.MX8 series.
• Proven expertise with communication protocols: SPI, I2C, UART, MIPI, and USB.
• Good understanding of digital electronics, microcontrollers, and embedded hardware.
• Comfortable with Linux-based systems (cross-compilation, device tree, kernel config is a plus).
• Experience with using lab tools like multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, JTAG debuggers.

• Experience on i.MX8/i.MX9 platforms should be supported with practical understanding of Device Tree, board bring-up, kernel configuration, and Embedded Linux environment.
• Hands-on experience in Yocto build system is mandatory. Only Linux application development experience will not fit the requirement.
