Senior Embedded Software Engineer
At Scania Industrial Batteries, we design and build advanced battery systems for off-road machines - and the digital ecosystem that connects them. From our R&D hub in Solna, Sweden, and production site in Gdańsk, Poland, we create cloud platforms and data services that turn battery and machine data into real-time insight, automation, and performance. Our technology powers the electrification of heavy industries such as mining, construction, and marine - transforming how energy is used in some of the world’s toughest environments.
We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our Embedded Software Team.
In this role, you’ll design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions that power our products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software, always with reliability, performance, and safety in mind. Your daily work will involve designing and implementing embedded software in C with a strong focus on MISRA C standards, while developing for both real-time operating systems and bare-metal environments. Debugging is part of the role as well, where you’ll use various tools to troubleshoot and optimize.
You will be working with communication protocols like CAN and Ethernet, and with ensuring compliance with safety standards such as ISO 13849. Further, you’ll be working in requirements management tools such as Polarion, and drive efficient CI/CD pipelines through Git-based workflows.
With our office in Tomteboda, Solna, as your main location, we offer a dynamic and flexible workplace with hybrid work options. Benefits include sound and sustainable working hours, a supportive and inclusive workplace culture, pension and 30 days of vacation, parental leave, parental pay and time bank policy.
