- ECU Software & Electronic System Testing: Perform software testing for ECUs and automotive electronic systems, including Electric Drive Systems (EDS/Inverter), On-Board Chargers (OBC), DC-DC Converters, and AC/DC charging systems and charging stations.
- Requirements Analysis & Test Design: Analyze software requirements and develop functional, performance, and compatibility test cases for ECU software
- Test Case Development & Execution: Develop and execute both manual and automated test cases, including system testing, integration testing, and regression testing.
- Test Environment Simulation: Set up and maintain simulation environments to emulate ECU operating conditions, including real-world scenarios, to validate software compatibility, stability, and reliability.
- Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and increase test coverage using tools such as Python, TestStand, and other automation frameworks.
- Test Review: Review test cases, test results, and testing solutions prepared by team members to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Test Analysis & Reporting: Analyze test results, identify and troubleshoot defects, prepare defect reports, and track issue resolution through closure.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with software development engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve issues identified during the testing and validation process.
- Software Compatibility & Cybersecurity Validation: Verify software compatibility with ECU hardware platforms and perform cybersecurity-related testing to ensure the robustness of automotive electronic systems.
- Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Testing: Execute Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability under real-world operating conditions.
- Testing Process Improvement: Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and automation to enhance efficiency, quality, and reduce testing cycle time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software and electronics software testing.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive software testing.
- Solid understanding of software development and product development processes, including ASPICE, V-Model, ISO 9001, ISO 26262, and ISO 21434.
- Solid understanding of automotive electronic systems and in-vehicle communication protocols, such as CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet.
- Hands-on experience with software testing tools such as NI TestStand, Vector CANoe, LabVIEW, or other automated testing frameworks.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python, as well as simulation and testing tools.
- Experience in setting up, configuring, and operating ECU simulation and test bench environments.
- Experience in designing and developing automated test cases for validating ECU functions in both simulated and real hardware environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering principles.
- Strong expertise in software testing methodologies, including test case design and test execution.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with automotive standards such as ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), ISO 21434 (Cybersecurity), ISO 15118, and ISO 61851 is an advantage.
