Senior Embedded / Systems Software Engineer (Rust + Python)
About the Project
We are looking for a Senior Embedded / Systems Software Engineer for a long-term aerospace project focused on developing advanced embedded communication solutions for aircraft and satellite systems.
The engineer will work directly with the CTO, Project Manager, and Product Manager and will have significant ownership over architecture and technical implementation.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Rust
- Strong Python development skills
- Experience with embedded, systems-level, or low-level software development
- Strong knowledge of Linux
- Experience with networking and communication protocols
- Understanding of multithreading, concurrency, performance, and resource-constrained environments
- Ability to make technical decisions and independently deliver production-quality solutions
- Good English communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in aerospace, avionics, satellites, UAV/drones, defense, telecom, robotics, automotive, or IoT
- Embedded Linux
- RTOS / real-time systems
- C/C++ background
- Hardware/software integration
- TCP/UDP, CAN, UART, SPI, I2C
- Telemetry or satellite communication systems
Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded/system-level software primarily using Rust and Python
- Work closely with the CTO on architecture and technical decisions
- Develop software for communication between complex hardware systems
- Integrate software with hardware and communication interfaces
- Troubleshoot performance, networking, and system-level issues
- Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions
- Take ownership of features from technical design through implementation and delivery
We are looking for a senior engineer who is comfortable with systems programming, embedded technologies, communication systems, and technically challenging R&D projects and is interested in joining the project for the long term.
