Role description:

The LSO Senior End User Support Engineer, based in Warrington, will be responsible for providing the senior technical capability for Local Service Operations in country, deputising for the LSO Manager when required to support a secure, reliable workplace technology experience.

Role accountabilities:

  • Senior technical authority in country, deputising for the LSO Manager when required.
  • Final technical escalation point in country for complex issues.
  • Technical lead for local projects, office moves, fit-outs and refresh programmes.
  • Own the endpoint lifecycle plan, including forecasting and asset management.
  • Lead delivery of Tech bar services in country, where provided.
  • Manage local supplier relationships against agreed standards and contracts.
  • Assure local technical standards and builds in line with global practice.
  • Advise the LSO Manager on local budgets, resourcing and improvement.
  • Be on site every day - daily office attendance keeps our colleagues fully supported.
  • Define and improve LSO practices, owning delivery against agreed KPIs and SLAs.
  • Represent LSO in the wider Digital Locations community, shaping User Experience.
  • Drive root cause analysis to improve service availability in-country.
  • Act as the senior technical expert within the regional LSO team.
  • Provide expert guidance to the LSO Manager and regional leadership.
  • Instil the technical standards and best practice the local team works to based on global standards.
  • Coach and develop LSO Engineers I and II in their progression.
  • Own induction and training for new joiners in the team.
  • Support the LSO Manager with workload planning and on-site coverage.
  • Technical authority for Local Service Operations in country.
  • Owns and assures global and regional Digital Locations practices locally.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in endpoint support, local technology support or digital workplace engineering, with a proven track record of supporting complex endpoint estates within multinational engineering, professional services or similarly complex organizations.
  • Recognized as a subject matter expert in endpoint and workplace technologies, providing advanced technical expertise, guidance and support across enterprise environments.
  • Expert technical knowledge of endpoint hardware, workplace technologies and associated services, with the ability to diagnose and resolve highly complex technical issues and provide effective escalation support.
  • Demonstrated experience managing endpoint lifecycle activities, including deployment, configuration, maintenance, upgrades and retirement, ensuring technology remains secure, reliable and fit for purpose.
  • Strong understanding of digital workplace environments and the dependencies across endpoint devices, applications, connectivity and supporting enterprise technology services.
  • Proven technical project management capability, with experience planning and delivering endpoint, workplace technology or infrastructure initiatives from inception through implementation and operational transition.
  • Strong supplier and vendor management experience, with the ability to manage technical relationships, monitor service performance and drive effective resolution of operational and delivery issues.
  • Proven experience coaching and mentoring engineers, developing technical capability and promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning across the team.
  • Strong leadership capability, with the confidence and experience to deputize for the LSO Manager when required, providing operational coordination, stakeholder engagement and team leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and engage effectively with business leaders, users, technical teams and external suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capability, with the ability to assess complex technical challenges, identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions that enhance service reliability and user experience.
  • Strong understanding of IT service management processes, technology governance and security requirements, ensuring consistent and compliant delivery of endpoint and workplace services.
  • Degree level education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or another relevant technical discipline is desirable, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Relevant professional certifications in endpoint technologies, Microsoft platforms, IT service management, project management or related disciplines are desirable.
