Senior Engineer, Backend/Platform
About the Role
We are building the AI organizational memory system — a persistent intelligence layer that captures a company’s knowledge, decisions, context, and culture so organizations never lose themselves as they scale. The platform uses LLM agents to reason reliably over large, messy, real-world enterprise data.We need a senior backend/platform engineer who has owned systems at meaningful scale and can operate with high autonomy in an early-stage environment. You will architect foundational systems from the ground up, set technical direction on ambiguous high-impact work, and help ship production LLM agents that enterprise customers can trust.
What You’ll Do
- Architect and build the core backend and platform systems that everything else depends on
- Design and ship reliable LLM agents / RAG systems that reason over complex organizational data
- Make foundational decisions on architecture, infrastructure, data, and tooling while raising the engineering bar
- Own high-risk, high-impact projects end-to-end with minimal hand-holding (“fire-and-forget” style)
- Work closely with the founding team to support growing enterprise engagements (hundreds to thousands of employees)
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of backend/platform engineering experience, including pre-AI era systems work
- Track record of owning and operating systems at meaningful scale at strong engineering organizations
- Comfort setting technical direction on ambiguous, high-impact projects
- Bonus: founding experience or production experience building LLM agents / RAG systems
