Descripción del trabajo

If you enjoy working alongside positive people, in a collaborative environment where knowledge sharing is part of the culture and everyone is happy to help each other grow, keep reading, we're pretty sure you'll love idealista. We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to rebuild the data layer of one of idealista's core verticals from the ground up. This isn't maintenance work: it means redesigning data models, analytics, domain objects, and integrations on a modern architecture. You'll work within an established team, with real technical ownership over data decisions. Together, you'll help build the next generation of our platform, with the scale, ambition, and impact of one of Europe's leading proptech companies. Redesign the vertical's data model: entities, relationships, events, and metrics. Design and implement ingestion, transformation, and serving pipelines using dbt and columnar/OLAP databases. Define and enforce data governance practices: ownership, lineage, asset cataloging, naming standards, and quality policies (freshness, completeness, accuracy). Integrate heterogeneous sources (APIs, relational databases, events) by designing clear data contracts between teams. Collaborate with product and backend teams to understand what data they need and why, and translate that into robust models and pipelines. Advanced SQL : CTEs, window functions, query optimization over large volumes. Data modeling : dimensional, Data Vault, or both. Familiarity with modern data architectures : lakehouse, medallion, ELT. Python or JVM (Java/Kotlin) for pipeline or data service development.

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
  • Experience working alongside product/backend teams , not only within data silos.
  • Experience with ClickHouse or other columnar/OLAP databases.
  • Familiarity with Oracle as an operational database.
  • Experience with object storage (S3 or equivalent).
  • Experience with data observability tools and practices. Event-driven architectures (Kafka or equivalent).

You'll keep learning—we mean it. We'll support your professional growth with the training you need to continue developing your skills. In addition to your salary, you'll have access to a flexible compensation plan from day one, including benefits such as public transport, meal vouchers, and private health insurance. Free language classes in English, Italian, and Portuguese. Throughout the year, we celebrate together with themed events, seasonal parties, and plenty of opportunities to connect with your colleagues. Since we began this adventure in the year 2000, idealista has been much more than a company. It is a culture, a way of doing and understanding things that sets us apart. idealista promotes equality in all areas, carrying out awareness and visibility actions for the LGTB+ community among employees, in advertising, and in the community in general.
