Senior Engineer Embedded AI (f/m/d)

Summary

Lead embedded AI development for automotive ADAS/AD systems, optimizing deep-learning models for real-time deployment on AI SoCs and DSPs.

In that role you are able to work on key enabling technologies for ADAS and AD features.

Your tasks

Expertise leader in Embedded AI, helping in customer and project planning activities

Benchmark and develop prototypes for proof of concept phase

Develop and apply tools and methods enabling related activities

Support hardware selection processes and become company expert for AI SoCs

Interdisciplinary communication with algorithm experts and system developers

Skills Required

Master or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field

Expert with proven background in embedded software development (5 years +)

Professional hands-on experience in Embedded AI, DSP / accelerator real-time implementation (2 years +)

Must have strong programming skills in C, C++ including applying compiler and debugging methods

Experience in development of deep learning (transformers would be a plus) from scientific or professional back ground, preferably in perception domain

Experience with code optimization approaches, well understanding of memory dependencies

Familiar with fixed point implementation and quantization and tool development in that area

Familiar with instruction sets and memory architectures, FPGA, DSP and AI processors

Excellent analytical skills and a good mathematical background

Ability to understand complex AI/ML based algorithms on all levels, capability to find alternative implementations that have impact on runtime

General knowledge about perception, tracking, fusion and path planning algorithms

Bonus skills

Automotive and with ADAS / AD

Academic background on above experience, authorship on relevant literature

RUST development experience

NVIDIA SDK experience
