Senior Engineer / Engineer, Bio-Medical Engineering
Summary
Maintains and repairs biomedical equipment in a hospital, including calibration, troubleshooting, and user training.
The Job
You will assist Bio-medical Engineering department with the commissioning, maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting and repairing of a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic biomedical equipment.
Your role will include but not be limited to the following:
Commissioning of incoming simple biomedical equipment
Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions in equipment by making adjustments, alterations, repairs or parts replacements
Assisting supervisor in coordinating all service and repair activities of his section including setting work priority for Staff, assigning work and monitoring work accuracy, completeness and safety
Assisting supervisor in the oversight on equipment service contracts ensuring contractors fulfil their contractual obligations
Developing tender specifications for equipment, participate in pre-purchase tender and/or equipment evaluation and advising hospital on selection of suitable equipment
Communicating with users on service activities affecting them including scheduled maintenance, repairs, commissioning, user training and user satisfaction feedback
Ad-hoc projects as assigned
Job Requirements
Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electronic/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
Good communication and interpersonal skills
