Senior Engineer - Geotechnical

We're looking for an experienced Senior Engineer - Geotechnical to join our organization in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will lead geotechnical engineering projects, provide technical expertise, and mentor junior team members. You will be responsible for analyzing complex soil and foundation challenges, designing sustainable solutions, and ensuring compliance with Indian building codes and international standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.

• Conduct comprehensive geotechnical site investigations, including soil sampling, laboratory testing, and ground characterization analysis
• Design and analyze foundations, slopes, and underground structures using advanced geotechnical software and modeling techniques
• Perform slope stability analysis and assess geotechnical hazards to ensure project safety and compliance
• Prepare detailed technical reports, design calculations, and recommendations for construction projects
• Supervise field work, coordinate with contractors, and monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to geotechnical specifications
• Utilize AutoCAD and specialized geotechnical software (PLAXIS, GeoStudio, SLIDE) to develop models and solutions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural engineers, architects, and project managers
• Review and interpret geological and hydrogeological data to inform engineering decisions
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical support and fostering professional development
• Ensure all projects comply with Indian building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining quality standards

• 8+ years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering with demonstrated expertise in soil mechanics and foundation design
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical analysis, site investigation methodologies, and ground characterization techniques
• Proficiency with geotechnical software including PLAXIS, GeoStudio, SLIDE, or equivalent modeling tools
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software
• Comprehensive understanding of slope stability analysis and groundwater management
• Experience with laboratory testing procedures and interpretation of geotechnical test results
• Proven field work experience and site supervision capabilities
• Excellent technical writing and report preparation skills
• Thorough knowledge of Indian building codes and standards (IS codes)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skill set
• Project management experience with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Preferred: Experience in tunneling, underground construction, or advanced geotechnical modeling
• Preferred: Familiarity with international geotechnical standards and best practices
• Preferred: Experience mentoring and developing junior engineering staff
