As a Senior Engineer, IT System (DevOps), you will:
- Serve as a senior technical owner for the platform engineering, deployment and reliability of our containerized Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Data Platform applications, Group IT eApplications and Cloud architecture across Venture Global sites.
- Architect, build and govern production Kubernetes / AWS EKS clusters that run the container-based MES/VMES and group-wide in-house applications, ensuring scalability, resilience and standardization across all sites
- Work with development teams to optimise and containerize Group wide in-house applications and MES using high-performance architecture/platform, ensuring smooth and reliable deployment.
- Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines (CI/CD) using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps, including build, automated test, containerisation, security scanning, rollback and progressive deployment strategies.
- Set and enforce infrastructure-as-code standards (Terraform / Ansible), GitOps practices, and Helm-based release management to prevent configuration sprawl across sites.
- Automate provisioning, scaling, patching and updates; write Python and scripting to automate operational tasks and data movement between machines, subsystems and the MES.
- Establish observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/CloudWatch) and lead monitoring, alerting, incident response and root-cause analysis to ensure high availability of production-critical MES services.
- Work closely with developers, QA, and other teams to improve the Application & MES platform and support daily production needs.
- Ensure all deployments and infrastructure changes meet cybersecurity, audit and regulatory standards (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST CSF, FDA 21 CFR Part 11) with proper documentation and change control.
- Lead containerisation and integration of MES with SAP, machines, data loggers, middleware, ETLs, data lake and dashboards, ensuring reliable real-time and batch data flows.
- Lead or govern upgrades, migrations and new VMES site rollouts, integrating new manufacturing capabilities and technologies (APS, QMS, IIoT, analytics/AI).
- Act as the DevOps technical authority in vendor and system-integrator engagements, validating deliverables through architecture, performance and security reviews.
