Senior Engineer Planning
Role Overview
The Senior Planning Engineer will lead production planning
activities, optimize resource utilization, ensure delivery commitments, and
drive continuous improvement in planning processes.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead preparation of Master Production Schedules
(MPS).
· Perform capacity planning, machine loading, and
manpower allocation.
· Ensure alignment of production plans with sales
forecasts and customer delivery commitments.
· Monitor and control WIP levels, inventory
planning, and material availability.
· Analyze and optimize lead times, routing, and
BOM accuracy.
· Drive resolution of production bottlenecks and
implement corrective actions.
· Conduct detailed Plan vs Actual variance
analysis and improve schedule adherence.
· Ensure effective usage of ERP/MRP systems for
production tracking and reporting.
· Coordinate closely with Stores for Raw Material
planning and issue control.
· Generate advanced MIS & performance
dashboards for senior management.
· Mentor junior planning engineers and streamline
PPC processes.
Requirements
Required Skills
· Strong knowledge of production planning &
control
· Expertise in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle
preferred)
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Good understanding of manufacturing workflows
· Leadership and team coordination skills
· Advanced Excel & reporting skills
